How do I join Walkon?
You can join using an invitation code shared by one of our members. Every member receives a limited number of invitation codes they can use to welcome trusted people into the community. If you don't have an invitation code, you can join the waitlist, once approved, you'll receive an invitation code to join.
How much does it cost?
The Walkon Passport costs €130 per year. When staying with another member, you pay a cleaning fee set by Walkon and shown before confirmation. This ensures every home is professionally cleaned before and after each stay, so hosts can welcome guests without extra work.
How do skills work?
Skills let you earn points by sharing your expertise. Offer anything from photography and languages to cooking, design, or fitness. Once a session is completed and confirmed by both members, points are awarded automatically.
How do you ensure it's safe to home swap?
Walkon grows through invitations and carefully reviewed applications. Members receive a limited number of invitation codes to share with people they trust, helping us build a well curated community from the start. Reviews and transparent profiles help members make informed decisions about every exchange.
How does the points system work?
Points are earned by contributing to the community. To help you get started, you receive points when you list your home or a skill, allowing you to begin travelling from day one.

Do I need to own a home to travel?
No. Both homeowners and renters can host, provided they can offer the entire space during the stay. If hosting isn't possible right now, you can still earn points by sharing skills and participating in the community.
